Description

Called ‘Baby Deltic’ because of the similarity of sound from the Napier Deltic engine in the big brother class 55’s, to the downrated Napier Deltic engine in the class 23, these locomotives.

10 were built and were capable of 75mph. They hauled suburban services out of Kings Cross, but could be found in East Anglia and as far north as Doncester

The DJM model, which has completed its design for disc and headcode versions, will feature close coupling, NEM coupling pockets, DCC Next18 compatibility as well as DCC sound fitting with ease, Darkened profile wheels, directional lighting and a coreless high strength motor.
